CONCERTO FOR WIND ORCHESTRA (2020)

CONCERTO FOR WIND ORCHESTRA was composed in the spring of 2020 on behalf of the Harmonie Municipale Esch/Alzette (LU).

Premiere: 25/26 November 2022 by HME, Conductor: Jean Thill

Dedicated to André Reichling, past conductor of the Luxembourg Military Band - in memoriam

The composition consists of four movements:

- PRELUDE - attacca - INTERLUDE I - FUGA - attacca - INTERLUDE II - POSTLUDE

Instrumentation: Piccolo, Flute (1,2), Oboe (1,2 - 2d also English Horn), Bassoons (1,2), Counter Bassoon, Eb Clarinet, Bb Clarinet (1,2,3), Bass Clarinet, Saxophone Alto (1,2 - 1st also Soprano Sax.), Tenor Saxophone (1,2), Bariton Saxophone, Eb Trumpet, Bb Trumpet (1,2,3), F Horn (1,2,3,4), Trombone (1,2,3), Bass Trombone, Euphonium (1,2), Tuba (1,2), Double Bass, Timpani, Piano, Mallets (2 players), Percussion (1,2,3)
