The " Akademische Bläserphilharmonie Wien " wil perform my work . . . dann wachsen Flügel Deinen Worten . . . at the prestigious Wiener Musikverein on January 27th 2025, the 80th anniversary day of the liberation of the KZ Auschwitz by the Red Army (27.1.1945).
The 22' work is a set into music of 5 drawings by the soldier Prof. Tolkatchev (* 1903) of the Russian Army, whose task was to make drawings of all the atrocities he saw during the liberation of Auschwitz.
This resulted in series of drawings that have been shown as travelling exhibitions throughout the world since the end of World War II.
The four movements of the work are titled as follows: 1 - Stigmatized Man (Text by Nelly Sachs); 2 - One of the Nameless: Lisa; 3 - Taleskoten (Tallit Katan); 4 - The Liberation, 1945 (Text ba Rabindranat Tagore).
